The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recently released its recommendations on the use of the influenza vaccine for the 2017-2018 influenza season. This report updates the 2016-17 recommendations of ACIP regarding the use of seasonal influenza vaccines. Routine annual influenza vaccination is recommended for all persons aged ≥6 months who do not have contraindications. A licensed, recommended, and age-appropriate vaccine should be used.
